About Us
Samyukta Safai Jagaran (SASAJA) is a non-government, non-profit, non-political and non-religious organization of waste workers registered in February, 2013 under the Organization Registration Act 1977 of Government of Nepal in District Administrative Office, Kathmandu and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council. This is the first organization of waste workers of Nepal for self-recognition and empowerment. All board members including some staffs are waste workers. The goal of the organization is to improve the living condition of the informal waste workers through integrated sustainable solid waste management system and advocate for their social protection and recognition.
